Great snow and reasonable prices have made Loveland one of
the most popular areas in the state with locals. It's location,
about 1 hour from Denver, makes Loveland a great place for
a half day trip or a short full day with plenty of time to
get back.
Editors Note: Loveland is always in a battle (with
Keystone) to open first every year. Skiing is separated on
two sides of the road for beginners and more advanced skiers
and riders. There is no such thing as lodging at Loveland,
but there is plenty down the road each way.
